Could Hizballah Provoke an All-out Middle East War?
Despite
Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon, Hizballah has armed itself for a new stage of conflict, posing a threat greater than
that of some neighboring Arab
states.
We,
Americans of Lebanese descent, urge the Bush Administration to pressure Syria to dismantle Hizballah’s military
infrastructure in Lebanon and
to totally comply with UN Resolution 520. Short of these specific courses of action, both Syria and Hizballah should be
the U.S next target in our
war against global terror.
Two
democracies in the Middle East would be better than one. America could use another real friend there.
